In class while watching the Hitler speech, I was thinking about different speakers and how the use of words can really change the way people think about a situation. Martin Luther King Jr., Might have been one of the most influential speakers of all time. You could probably say that this nation would be different if it wasn’t for Dr. King’s words. Just knowing that words can have this kind of effect on people is kind of scary. What if someone in the Middle East started doing the same thing as Hitler did with the Germans?

I agree with you Martin Luther was a pretty good speaker and he definately made a huge impact in the world. I actually had an interview one time and they asked me "if you could meet anyone dead or alive who would you choose" I said Martin Luther because since segregation has ended and although some are still stuck in their ways many are not and I really want to know how we would feel being that his speech many years ago converted people into a new person....also a country into a NEW country!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, he was a good speaker. America would be a sad place if he didn't take up a position to speak up for the African Americans.
ReplyDeleteI know it's a scary that possibility there could be a person like hitler mostly there are people like him over there. Who want to kill Americans... I say the best thing to do is to keep yourself informed with the news and be a critical thinker.
