Nike

When reading the Nike article I thought to myself, When i was a child i needed the top brands in everything. My mom and i would go shopping and i was the most pickiest shopper, she would just pick out anything and i would have to get the very best. I remember have a few Nike clothes in my earlier years. Did i contribute to the sweatshops? But then again doesn't almost all producers make there apparel in foreign countries? So whats the difference in Nike? I have now grown out of that stage in life thinking i needed the coolest clothes to be the coolest. Now a wake up and whatever is clean and fits me, well that's what I'm wearing. -Ryan Adair

  1. I remember going to the dentist when I was seven, there was this kid getting a cavity filled who was about my age, his hair was buzzed except for in the very back of his head; he had the Nike swoosh symbol. I remember thinking why? What’s the appeal to the famous swoosh. Perhaps the attraction is what the symbol represents. For him it was the association with sports.

  2. I remembering going shopping with my mother when I was younger of course I miss it because she use to pay :) BUT im the opposite of what you described.....when we shopped she always wanted me to buy things that went perfectly together and me I just wanted anything because clothes are clothes. She use to always tell me girl stop dressin like a tom boy and put on clothes that girls wear haha. So, long story short I grew out of the "just throw on anything" I HAVE to match to the best of my ability from head accessories to my shoes!!!!!!

  3. Haha...when I was younger I didn't really know how to dress, my mom helped me pick out everything I wore. But now I value her opinion and my sense of style has change a little since then.

  4. I think that when I was a kid I didn't care for the brands but now that I am older I am very picky. And the truth is that almost anything we buy these days is manufactured by a sweatshop.
